Piccirillo Leads Wildcats to Fourth Place Finish at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional
Junior Angel Piccirillo (Homer City, Pa.) led the way with a seventh place finish in a field of 200 runners and Villanova finished in fourth place overall at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Friday afternoon. Piccirillo crossed the finish line of the 6,000 meter race at the West Windsor Fields with a time of 21:11.9 and was one of three Wildcats who earned All-Mid Atlantic Region honors.

Track & Field Program To Dedicate Offices During Homecoming Weekend
During next weekend's Homecoming festivities the Villanova track & field program will be having a ribbon cutting ceremony and official dedication of its new office space in Jake Nevin Field House. The brand new office space for one of the country's oldest and most successful collegiate programs was made possible through the generosity of Robert F. Moran '72.
Burda and Cleirigh Buttner Tally Top 10 Finishes at BIG EAST Championships
Freshman Bella Burda (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) and sophomore Siofra Cleirigh Buttner (Dublin, Ireland) each finished in the top 10 overall and Villanova came in third in the team standings at the BIG EAST Championships on Saturday morning. In a remarkably fast race at the Golf Center at Kings Island, the Wildcats scored 86 points and tallied their highest team finish at the conference meet since 2011.
Women's Cross Country Set For BIG EAST Championships on Saturday Morning

A conference title will be on the line as 10 women's cross country teams and nine men's squads converge on the Golf Center at Kings Island in Mason, Ohio for the BIG EAST Championships this weekend. The women's 6,000 meter race takes place at 11:50 a.m. on Saturday morning and will be preceded by the men's 8,000 meter race at 11 a.m. An awards ceremony takes place at 12:40 p.m.
Wildcats Place 10th in Successful Showing at Pre-Nationals
In a field that featured many of the top teams in the country, Villanova got strong results throughout its entire lineup and finished 10th out of 45 in the Pre-NCAA Meet at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park on Saturday morning. All seven runners for the Wildcats crossed the finish line in under 22 minutes on the 6,000 meter course, with five of the seven posting personal best times. The spread between the team’s top five finishers was 1:07.7 despite a field that included more than 300 runners.
Three Wildcats Compete at Princeton Invitational
Three runners competed as individuals for Villanova at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday morning. Junior Caitlin Bungo (Pittsburgh, Pa.) led the trio with a 28th place finish out of more than 200 runners on the 6,000 meter course at West Windsor Fields. There was no team scoring for the Wildcats, who also sent a full contingent of runners to the Pre-NCAA meet on Saturday.

Eight nationally-ranked teams and four BIG EAST squads are among the field that will compete at the Pre-NCAA Meet in Louisville this weekend. Villanova represents both of those groups and will return to E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park for the first time since the 2012 national championships for this weekend's meet, which takes place on Saturday morning. The seeded women's race is scheduled for 10:15 a.m.
