Swingle Moving On to Siena
May 17, 2004 VILLANOVA, PA. - Women's water polo assistant coach Rob Swingle, who just completed his first season with the program, has been named head coach of Siena's women's water polo team. Swingle brought expertise in goalkeeping and defense to Paige Cull's staff, and his efforts helped the Wildcats register 12 wins in 2004, including a fourth place showing at the Southern Division Championships, ninth place at Eastern Championships, and third at MAAC Championships. In 30 games, the Wildcats allowed just 8.07 goals per contest.
Swingle takes over a Saints program in Loudonville, N.Y. that just finished up a 2-12 season under Lynda Lareau. Villanova has not yet announced his replacement.
