New Rochelle, NY- On May 3, the MAAC Conference announced its all-league water polo squad, with three Wildcats earning honors. Sophomore Ellen Howe and freshman Kim Pare earned first team accolades, while sophomore goalkeeper Denise Hanes garnered second team honors.

Howe ranks second on the team in goals scored (47) and leads the team in assists with 40. She also has 50 steals to her credit.

Pare, just a freshman, proved to be Villanova's most potent offensive weapon, leading the team with 51 scores.

Hanes kept the Wildcats in many close games, recording 188 saves.

In addition to athletic honors, six Wildcats were named to the All-Academic team. To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.

Howe and Hanes also received the academic honors with 3.20 grade point averages. Sophomore Chesed Ceniseroz maintains a 3.5 GPA as a nursing major, while Aimee Corsiglia maintains a 3.6 in Marketing/International busines.

Sophomore Sarah Oberhauser has a 3.3 as an Honors/Sociology major and junior Jennifer Rosick has an astounding 3.9 GPA in accounting.

The Wildcats finished the season with an 11-21 overall record.
