Wildcat Water Polo Prepares For MAAC Championships

The Wildcats are a No. 3 seed in the tournament.

The Villanova women's water polo team will compete at the MAAC Championships this weekend.

New Rochelle, NY- The Villanova University Water Polo team will travel to Iona this weekend for the MAAC Championship Tournament.

The No. 3 seeded Wildcats play their first round game against No. 2 seed Wagner University on Saturday at 2:00 PM. With a victory, Villanova will face the winner of the No.1 seed Iona/No. 4 St. Francis (NY) for the MAAC Championship on Sunday at 11. A loss, will place the 'Cats against the loser of the other game at 9:00 AM on Sunday.

This is the first season of the MAAC Water Polo league. Siena and Marist round out the six-team league.
