VILLANOVA, Pa. - The water polo team will travel to Poughkeepsie, N.Y. for the Marist Invitational this weekend, where the Wildcats will challenge Salem International University (1:00 p.m.) and Notre Dame College (4:45 p.m.) on Saturday. Villanova is set to face Gannon at 2:15 p.m. on Sunday for their last game of the tournament.

The Tigers of Salem International University are winless on the season with a 0-4 mark. SIU's most recent loss came in opposition to Gannon by a count of 16-9.
Notre Dame College (0-2) has been struggling early on this season with their previous defeat also coming from Gannon. The Falcons fell by the score of 5-13.
Currently on a three-game win streak, two of the three stemming from SIU and GU, Gannon upholds a 5-8 script. Grove City College suffered against the Golden Knights to complete the three-game swing, 7-9.
The Wildcats split two games last weekend in Loudonville, N.Y. The squad upended Utica, 13-12, but dropped to Siena in a 9-7 decision.
Leading the way for the `Cats in points thus far are juniors Hannah Ishida (17) and Julia Penkal (16). On the defensive side of the ball, three players have notched double-digit steals. Julia Penkal has excelled with 14, and both senior Sarah Armel and junior Elizabeth Clarke have posted 10.
Conference play is set to begin in approximately two weeks from now when Villanova battles St. Francis (NY) on March 24th at 1:00 p.m.
