MAAC Release

EDISON, N.J. - The Wildcats are predicted to finish fourth in the MAAC water polo league as announced by the conference Thursday morning.

Last season, Villanova earned a berth in the MAAC Championships for the first time since 2007. The Wildcats fell short against Iona in the semifinal round; Iona would eventually go on to win the title.

Villanova is looking to continue their success from last season in 2013. The Wildcats welcome seven newcomers to the roster and are led by their eight seniors who all hope to have another shot at the MAAC title. Head Coach Damon Newman and his squad are ready to make waves in conference play this year.

Iona was picked to finish first in the conference followed by Wagner, Marist, Villanova, St. Francis (N.Y.), Siena and VMI.

The Wildcats hope to capture their first win of the season when they head to the Princeton Invite this weekend.
