Wildcats Chosen Fourth in MAAC
Sophomore Naomi Ng was voted to the MAAC Preaseason Team

EDISON, N.J. - The Villanova women's water polo team was selected to finish fourth in the MAAC, according to the annual poll voted on by the league's head coaches.

Sophomore driver Naomi Ng was also voted to the Preseason All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Ng finished the 2013 regular season with 25 goals, 10 assists and 32 steals. The Kapolei, Hawaii, native earned All-MAAC Second Team honors at the end of last season.

Villanova finished last season fourth in the conference with a 4-9 MAAC record.

Wagner was chosen as the top team in the conference, while the Preseason Player of the Year, Amy Olsen, and Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year, Marisa Gaynor, both play for Iona.

The Wildcats started the season last weekend at home with losses to CAMO, Harvard and Iona. The team travels to Lewisburg, Pa., on Feb. 15 to take on Bucknell and Wagner.
