Wildcats Dominate St. Francis Brooklyn, Drop Matches to VMI and Iona in MAAC Play

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Villanova Wildcats ended their weekend on high note with a dominant 14-4 win over Saint Francis-Brooklyn, but fell to MAAC foes VMI 16-11 and Iona 9-6.

Dominique Clark continued her strong season with an impressive 12 goals in the three MAAC matches this past weekend. The junior driver was recently honored as Villanova’s Student Athlete of the Month presented by Rothman Institute. Read more about that honor here.

Clark scored at least three goals in each game, including five in the loss to VMI and four in the victory over St. Francis. Kate Stenmoen also had a great game against the Terriers, logging a season-high five goals.

The Wildcats will play their final non-conference game of the season against George Washington in the home finale this Thursday. Villanova will wind down the regular season with a match against first place Wagner in New Rochelle, N.Y. on April 15.
