RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Aimee Corsiglia (Mountain View, Calif.) scored four goals and the Wildcats snapped a three-game losing streak with a 9-6 victory over Whittier on Friday in Riverside. Villanova (2-6) received goals from five different individuals in the win.

Corsiglia was 4-for-5 with four goals, one assist and one steal in the game to lead the Wildcats to their second victory. Ellen Howe (San Diego, Calif.) scored two goals, had one assist and drew three ejections, while Kim Pare (Grand Rapids, Mich.) had two assists, one steal and was 1-for-2 on sprints. Brynn Rooney (Downers Grove, Ill.) and Carla Martinez (Caguas, Puerto Rico) each had two steals and one assist.

In goal for the Wildcats, Jess Wells (Newport Beach, Calif.) allowed six goals and made 17 saves.

The Wildcats were to face Cal State-Monterey Bay later on Friday, with results from that match to be made available on Saturday. Villanova will also face Cal State-Bakersfield and Pomona Pitzer on Saturday.
