Salem, WV- Despite playing their third match in eight ours, the Villanova women's water polo team played their best game of the season and rolled to a 16-12 rout of conference foe Salem International. With the victory Villanova improves to 2-7 overall and 2-3 in conference play.

In much the same way as they has done for most of the year, drivers Erin Agee (Houston, Texas/St. Agnes Academy) and Carrie Boyle (Redlands, Calif./Redlands) took the Villanova offense and carried it on their backs. Agee and Boyle combined to tally 10 of Villanova's 16 goals against Salem International, 63 percent of the Wildcat offense. Agee netted six goals, while Boyle added four.

Boyle and Agee have received some new help recently as freshman Whitney Mabry (Houston, Texas/St. Agnes Academy) has stepped to the forefront. Mabry tallied three goals on the evening. Three others joined in the offensive production, including freshman walk-on Megan Leitch (Lakewood, Ohio/Magnificat) who netted her first career goal. Kelly Ganz (Long Beach Calif./Woodrow Wilson) and Heather Sherbondy (Norwalk, Conn./Loomis Chaffee) also scored for Villanova.

The Wildcats will be in action tomorrow against George Washington at 11:00 a.m.
