Princeton, N.J.-On Saturday, February 15, the Villanova University women's water polo team opened their season with an 8-5 loss to Arizona State University in the first game of the Princeton Invitational.

Kimberley Pare scored the first three goals of her college career and sophomore Ellen Howe added another tally. Freshman Monica Pommier also notched her first career goal.

Denise Hanes recorded six saves in goal, while Jessica Wells came on to record two.

In their second game against George Washington, the Wildcats fell 11-5. Villanova gets back into action on Sunday, Februrary 16, when they take on Queensland at 11:30AM in a game to be held at Princeton.
