Tartazky Named Second Team All-BIG EAST

This is the first all-conference selection for the senior

VILLANOVA, Pa. - Senior Dana Tartazky was named to the All-BIG EAST second team as announced at the conference awards banquet on Thursday evening.

Tartazky finished the 2008 season leading the Wildcats with 3.51 kills per set and ranked fifth in the BIG EAST. She also collected 2.18 digs per set to finish third on the squad. Tartazky tallied seven double-doubles in the season was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on four occasions.

"I'm very happy for Dana. She played very consistently for us all season," head coach Josh Steinbach said. "She played hard in every match and brought energy to the court every time she was playing."

This is the first all-conference selection for Tartazky.
