VILLANOVA, Pa. - In their final game of the 1998 season, the Villanova Wildcats sent their seniors out on top with a three game sweep of Seton Hall, 15-11, 15-9, 15-6. In the opening game, the Wildcats fell behind 9-5, but battled back to take the first game 15-11. Villanova never looked back as they took control over the final two game, cruising to the three game sweep, 15-9, 15-6.

Villanova (12-16/4-7), who snaps a five game skid with the victory was led by Tina Zitterich's 12 kills, while Seton Hall (10-16/3-8) was led by Jacki Woodford who tallied 10 kills and 13 digs. Prior to the match, Villanova honored its four seniors, Kristin Fucci, Felicia Holcomb, Elizabeth Jones and Megan O'Brien, in their final game.
