Maroon Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

VILLANOVA, Pa. - Sophomore Kim Maroon was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll, the conference office announced Monday afternoon, after helping the Wildcats to a 2-1 record last week and two conference wins.
Maroon had 78 digs in three matches and averaged 7.80 per contest. She had six total service aces with five coming in the win over Rutgers and collected a match-high 34 digs against Delaware. She helped Villanova to two BIG EAST wins over the weekend sweeping Seton Hall and Rutgers, 3-0.
Maroon leads the league overall in digs and service aces and is second in the NCAA in both, averaging 6.08 and 0.69 respectively.
This is the second time this season that Maroon has been named to the honor roll as she also earned a spot for the week of Sept. 13.
Villanova finishes its homestand this weekend hosting Connecticut on Saturday, Oct. 17 and St. John's Sunday, Oct. 18. Both matches are set for 2:00 p.m.
