VILLANOVA, Pa. - Senior Dana Tartazky and freshman Morgan Petkovich were named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Villanova went 2-1 last week playing two non-conference opponents in Temple and Fordham, and swept Rutgers, 3-0, to improve to a 2-1 conference record.

Tartazky led the Wildcats (11-7, 2-1) with 36 kills last week, averaging 4.50 per set and had a .333 attack percentage. She also tallied 17 digs and notched six services aces. Tartazky led Villanova in its loss to Temple on Wednesday, Oct. 1, as she connected on 19 kills.

Petkovich hit 29 kills and averaged 3.22 per set last week. She had just six errors and hit a .315 clip. In the Wildcats' sweep over Rutgers, Petkovich tallied 15 kills and had only three hitting errors.

This is Tartazky's second consecutive and third overall conference honor of the season as she earned a spot the week of Sept. 29 and Sept. 8. It is also Petkovich's third honor roll appearance of the season as she was previously named to the list on Sept. 2 and Sept. 15. The Wildcats have now had at least one player listed on the BIG EAST Honor Roll in five out of the six weeks of competition.

Villanova will hit the road for conference matches this week. The Wildcats visit Louisville on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 2:00 p.m. and will take on Cincinnati on Sunday, Oct. 12, also at 2:00 p.m.
