Claire Crutchfield Honored by BIG EAST

VILLANOVA, Pa. - After leading the Villanova (9-5) volleyball team to a 3-1 win over Georgetown in the conference opener, Claire Crutchfield was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll. Against the Hoyas, the freshman was the most efficient player on the court, hitting .312 with 13 kills on 32 attacks in four sets.
The 6'1 Outside Hitter has been an integral part aiding the Wildcats en route to five victories in a row and eight of their last nine. This marks the first time Crutchfield has been honored by the conference in her brief career.
The Falls Church, Va. native is second on the team with 154 kills and 2.85 kills/set, also adding 32 blocks and 10 blocks while playing in all but one set. Villanova will return to the courts for a BIG EAST double header Friday and Saturday.
