Maroon Earns Third Consecutive BIG EAST Honor Roll Nod

VILLANOVA, Pa. - Senior Kim Maroon has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the third consecutive week, the conference office announced on Monday.
Maroon helped the Wildcats go 2-0 over the weekend to open BIG EAST play on the road with a 3-2 victory at DePaul, followed by a 3-1 decision at Notre Dame.
In the match at DePaul Maroon was the setter for three sets before stepping in to her usual role as libero. She earned her first career double-double by dishing out 36 assists and collecting 13 digs before tallying 29 digs against The Irish. Maroon averaged 4.00 assists per set and 4.67 digs per outing in the two matches.
This is the third consecutive and fourth time this season in which Maroon has earned recognition on the honor roll. Villanova has been represented in the weekly awards all five weeks this season.
The Wildcats will play at home this weekend and welcome West Virginia and Pittsburgh to Jake Nevin Fieldhouse. Villanova will take on the Mountaineers on Friday, Sept. 30 at 7:00 p.m. and face Pittsburgh on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 2:00 p.m. Sunday's match is the Wildcats' Dig Pink match.
