VILLANOVA, Pa. - Sophomore Kim Maroon was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll for the week of Sept. 14 the conference announced Monday afternoon.

Maroon was named MVP of the Villanova Classic over the weekend as the Wildcats went 3-0 thanks to a great defensive effort from the libero. She collected 30+ digs in back-to-back matches with a career-high 38 in the victory over Princeton and followed that with 33 digs against George Washington to average 7.08 for the weekend. Maroon also added 11 service aces for the weekend including five in the George Washington match.

Maroon leads the conference in digs, averaging 6.00 per set and is third in NCAA Division I. She also leads the league with 0.61 service aces per set and has 25 overall to rank eighth in the country.

The Wildcats travel to Virginia to compete in the UVA Tournament beginning Friday, Sept. 18 where they will face Albany at 4:30 p.m. before taking on Virginia and Virginia Tech at 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. respectively.
