Villanova, PA - The Wildcats dropped their second match of the weekend on Sudnay, falling at Louisville (11-6, 5-1) in three games. Sophomore Dana Tartasky paced Villanova (9-11, 3-3) with 12 kills and ten digs.

Both teams started the match hitting very well, but Louisville's .571 hitting percentage was too much to overcome for Villanova and fell 30-19. In game two, Villanova recorded the better hitting percentage, but still fell to the Cardinals, 30-24. Neither team hit ver well in the third game, with Villanova hitting just .083 compared to Louisville's .167. However, it was the Cardinals once again winning the game, 30-27 to close out the match.

Villanova sophomore Dana Tartasky led the offense for the Wildcats with 12 kills and added 10 digs as well. Senior Adrian Semrau was the only other Wildcat in with at least 10 kills, as she registered exactly 10 to go with three blocks. Freshman Elysse Studzinski posted three aces in the serving department for the Wildcats while another freshman, Amy Gulyas was on top of the dig column with 13.

NOTES
Senior Adrian Semrau continues to move up on both the career block assists and solo block lists. With her effort over the weekend, she not stands in fourth place in the career block assists (208) and is 6th in solo blocks (64), just one behind fifth place.

Villanova will take a brief break from BIG EAST action on Wednesday when they travel to Lehigh, starting at 7 PM. Then on Saturday, they return home to host Rutgers with a 2 PM start time.
