Cherkez lone Wildcat in double figures with 12 kills

MADISON, Wisc.- #11 UCLA (7-1) defeated Villanova (10-3) in three games at the InnTowner Invitational hosted by Wisconsin in Madison, Wisc. in Villanova's final match of the tournament. The Wildcats finished the weekend 0-3.

The game scores were 25-30, 27-30, 16-30.

Freshman outside hitter Alona Cherkez (Raanana, Israel) led Villanova, and was the only player in double figures, with 12 kill. She also had seven digs and 'Nova's only service ace.

Senior outside hitter Dana Kabashima (Santa Monica, Calif.) tallied nine kills and a hitting percentage of .381.

The Bruins had four players record double figure kills. UCLA limited the Wildcats to a team hitting percentage of .184 and out-blocked Villanova 8.0 to 6.0.
