Wildcats Too Much For Holy Cross

Villanova, PA - The Villanova Wildcat volleyball team was able to pick up its second win of the season on Friday night, defeating the Holy Cross Crusaders in three games as part of the Villanova Classic. The Wildcats easily took the first two games, 30-12 and 30-12. In the third game, Holy Cross played better, the the Wildcat attack was too much, recording a .418 hitting percentage for the match, and took the third game by a score of 30-25. Leading the outstanding Wildcat attack was Kacy Sellers and Adrian Semrau. Sellers had a double-double with 17 kills and 13 digs along with three service aces. Semrau added 14 kills and four blocked shots. Both Sellers and Semrau had a hitting percentage of +.600 with sellers logging a .640 and Semrau a .684. As a team, the Wildcats had 54 kills compared to 22 for Holy Cross. Also, the Crusaders hitting percentage for the game was .000 compared to the previously mentioned .418 percentage for the Wildcats. The Wildcats will be back in action on Friday morning, taking on the Sacred Heart Pioneers starting at 10:30 AM. Sacred Heart fell to the Unversity of Maryland-Baltimore County in three games in the first match Friday night.
