Koons Named USTFCCCA Division I All-American

VILLANOVA, Pa. - After recording a time of 16:28.99 in the 5,000m finals of the NCAA Championships, senior Frances Koons was named a USTFCCCA Division I All-American. She finished 12th in the race.

This is the fifth time Koons has been named an All-American. She earned two BIG EAST titles this season in the 1,500m and the 5,000m. She was named the Most Outstanding Track Athlete for the 2008 conference championships.

Koons has qualified to run in the U.S. Olympic Trials held later this month.
