VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova is sending six athletes to the 2008 NCAA Track and Field Championships. Senior Marco Radocaj will compete in the javelin, senior Michael Kerrigan will run in the 1,500m and senior Bobby Curtis will run in the 5,000m. On the women's side senior Frances Koons will compete in the women's 5,000m, while senior Liz Haglund will run in the 3,000m steeplechase. Senior Arusha McKenzie has qualified to race in the 800m.

The championships will take place June 11-14 hosted by Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

Villanova will first see action on Wednesday, June 11 when Radocaj competes in the semifinals for the javelin beginning at 11:00 a.m. CT. Also competing on Wednesday is McKenzie at 5:00 p.m. CT, Haglund at 7:20 p.m. CT, Koons at 8:10 and Curtis at 8:50 p.m. CT. All events will be preliminary competition.

Kerrigan will not begin competing until Thursday, June 12 in the 800m semifinals at 7:10 p.m. CT.

The finals for the men's javelin will take place Friday, June 13 at 1:00 p.m. CT. The women's steeplechase finals are set for 7:25 p.m. and the 5,000m finals begin at 9:15 p.m. for the women and 9:35 p.m. for the men.

The women's 800m finals are scheduled for Saturday, June 14 at 3:19 p.m. with the men's 1,500m set for 4:24 p.m.
