VILLANOVA, Pa. - Seniors Frances Koons and Liz Haglund finished third in the 5,000m and steeplechase, respectively, to earn a spot on the All-East Region team following the regional championships held in Tallahassee, Fla. on May 30-31.

Koons crossed the finish line in third place recording a time of 16:15.44 in the 5,000m. She claimed the title at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships this season. Koons holds the ninth fastest time in the nation heading into the National Championships.

Haglund finish with a time of 10:18.26 in the 3,000m steeplechase to earn third place. She claimed the conference title in the event at the outdoor championships.

The NCAA Championships will be held June 11-14 in Des Moines, Iowa.
