Women's Track & Field Heads to BIG EAST Championships This Weekend
Emily Lipari has earned All-BIG EAST honors at the indoor conference championships five times during her career.

VILLANOVA, Pa. - A world-class facility is the host site for the BIG EAST Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend, as 14 women's and 13 men's teams descend on the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. The conference meet will be held on Saturday and Sunday and the entire meet will be streamed live online completely free of charge.

Fans can watch all of the action from the BIG EAST Championships at and can also visit the Championship Central page to access the live video stream, heat sheets, live results and PDFs of the final individual and team results. Live video will also be available at Events on Saturday morning begin with the men's and women's multi 60 meter dash and 60 meter hurdles. The video stream will go live approximately 15 minutes prior to the start of competition.

To this point in the indoor track & field season Villanova has competed in five different meets and qualified athletes for the conference championship in nine running events, three field events and the pentathlon. The Wildcats have also qualified for the three relay events that are part of the meet program.

In its most recent meet Villanova ran the fastest time in the nation this season in the distance medley relay at the Armory Collegiate Invitational on February 1. The winning time for the Wildcats in that race was 10:56.74 and Villanova won the relay by a margin of more than eight seconds against a nine-team field which included two other BIG EAST entries.

Last year at the conference meet the Wildcats won two individual titles and one relay championship while producing All-BIG EAST performances in seven different events.
