Koons and Haglund Conclude NCAA Championships

Seniors give good effort on Villanova's final day of competition

DES MOINES, Iowa - Senior Frances Koons concluded the NCAA Championships in the 5,000m crossing the finish line in 16:28.99 for 12th place. Senior Liz Haglund came into the steeplechase ranked 18th in the nation. She finished 14th overall, recording a time of 10:39.46.

Villanova concludes competition in Des Moines, Iowa at host school Drake University.

Koons is still in position to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Trials held later this month.
