FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Senior Frances Koons and sophomore Amanda Marino finished third and eighth, respectively, in the 5,000m at the NCAA Championships on Friday evening in Fayetteville, Ark.

Koons crossed the finish line in 16:28.36 to earn the seventh All-American honor of her career.

Clocking in eighth overall, Marino finished in 16:41.57 to pick up her third All-American honor in just her sophomore season.

On Thursday night, sophomore Sheila Reid and senior Ellen Dougherty competed in the 1,500m run and finished in 4:25.61 and 4:25.64, respectively, on McDonnell Field.

Koons and Marino conclude the 2009 NCAA Championships for the women.
