Ward Wins 100m Hurdles at ECAC Championships

Sophomore Shericka Ward continued her excellent outdoor season winning the 100m hurdles at the ECAC Championships over the weekend. The three-day meet was held at Princeton University in Princeton, N.J.
Ward recorded a time of 13.29 seconds in the victory. Her fastest time of the season still holds at 13.26 seconds from the Penn Relays and puts her 11th in the east region standings.
Junior Amanda Marino finished second in the 1,500m run crossing the finish line in 4:22.63. That time puts her 31st in the east. Classmate Ali Smith was close behind her clocking in at 4:24.33. Smith is 41st in the east standings.
Senior Kaitlyn Tallman crossed the finish line in 16:35.49 to earn third place in the 5,000m run. That time put her at 53rd in the region rankings.
Junior Audrey Gariepy-Bogui cleared 1.70 meters (5'7") in the high jump and took sixth place, while classmate Ashlyn Llerandi tied for seventh in the pole vault with a height of 3.65 meters (11'11.75").
The Wildcats will be off until the NCAA East Regional beginning Thursday, May 27 in Greensboro, N.C.
