Sophomore Samantha Yeats (Califon, N.J.) won the college section of the high jump and Villanova started off the New Balance Collegiate Invitational with the first of two days of competition on Friday at the New York Armory. Events will continue on Saturday morning and last throughout the day.

At the Penn State National this weekend senior Shericka Ward (Leesburg, Fla.) established a new personal best time in the 60 meter hurdles and as a team Villanova registered 14 new postseason qualifying times on the Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track during a successful overall competition.
