Women's Track at BIG EAST Championships

Villanova competed on the first night of the indoor BIG EAST Championships at the New York Armory on February 28, 2015.

On Wasik: School record holder in the pole vault both indoors and outdoors ... Set new Villanova records in the event three times during her career ... Headlined a deep pole vault group on the team that rewrote the program's all-time performance list in the event ... Her school records at the time of her graduation are 4.22 meters indoors and 4.15 meters outdoors ... Two-time BIG EAST champion and seven-time All-BIG EAST performer for the Wildcats, and was also the ECAC champion as a senior ... Four-time qualifier for the NCAA East Preliminary outdoors ... Competed at the World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea in 2015 following her graduation.

2015 Outdoor: Qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary meet in the pole vault for the fourth straight year and also garnered All-BIG EAST honors for the third straight season ... ECAC individual champion ... Competed a total of five times during the season and finished first or second four times ... Top mark of the season was 4.06 meters at the ECAC Championship, where she won the title ... Opened the season by coming in second at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational ... Cleared the bar at 4.05 meters at that meet to secure her spot at the NCAA East Preliminary meet ... Runner-up at the BIG EAST Championships (3.91m) and was one of five Villanova scorers in the event ... Tallied a first place finish at the Princeton Open (3.90m) the week before the conference meet ... Tied for 23rd place with a height of 3.93 meters at the NCAA East Preliminary.

2014-15 Indoor: Repeated as the BIG EAST individual champion in the pole vault to help Villanova successfully defend its team title at the BIG EAST Championships ... Tallied a winning mark of 4.05 meters at the conference meet and was one of four Wildcats to finish in the top five ... During the season shattered her own school record in the pole vault with a height of 4.22 meters at the Gotham Cup ... That performance marked the third time in a span of 11 months that she established a new school standard either indoors or outdoors in the pole vault ... The mark of 4.22 meters also ranked her 20th on the national performance list through the end of the regular season ... Finished first in the pole vault at five of the six meets she competed in, while being the runner-up on one other occasion ... In addition to the BIG EAST meet and the Gotham Cup, her other first place finishes were at the VT Challenge (4.12m), the David Hemery Valentine Invitational (4.11m) and the Akron Pole Vault Convention (4.00m) ... Came in second at the Penn State National (4.02m).

2014 Outdoor: Broke her own school record in the pole vault at the NCAA East Preliminary, where she cleared the bar at a height of 4.15 meters ... Qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary for the third straight year and established herself as a national contender by finishing 13th overall out of 41 competitors in the pole vault ... Cleared heights of 4.05 meters and 4.15 meters on her first try during the competition ... Was the BIG EAST champion in the pole vault with a height of 3.77 meters and was a part of a 1-2-3-4-5 sweep in the event by the Wildcats ... Came in third at the ECAC Championship (3.87m) in her final tuneup before the NCAA East Preliminary meet ... Recorded a first place finish at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational (3.95m) ... Cleared the bar at 3.96 meters at the Colonial Relays and finished second in the Championship section ... Came in eighth in the Championship section at the Penn Relays (3.90m) and was the runner-up at the Princeton Elite Meet (3.95m).

2013-14 Indoor: Won the BIG EAST title in the pole vault and also became the school record holder ... Followed up on her conference title with the record-setting performance at the Mason Last Chance Meet, where she cleared a height of 4.12 meters ... That surpassed the old Villanova mark of 4.11 meters set indoors by Ashlyn Llerandi at the 2010 ECAC Championship ... Wasik and Llerandi are the only two athletes in school history to clear 4.10 meters ... Won the BIG EAST title with a height of 3.80 meters and led a 1-2-3 finish for the Wildcats in the event ... Third straight year she has been All-BIG EAST in the pole vault ... Cleared 4.01 meters at the Penn State National and was the runner-up in the Invitational section ... Opened the season with a first place finish at the Jack Pyrah Invitational (3.85m) ... Tied for third place at the Gotham Cup (3.65m) and was second at the Tiger Open (3.90m).

2013 Outdoor: Advanced to the NCAA East Regional in the pole vault for the second straight year ... Matched a personal best with a height of 4.00 meters at the regional meet and tied for 18th place in a field of 48 competitors ... Was the runner-up at both the BIG EAST Championships and the ECAC Championship ... Cleared a height of 3.91 meters at the ECAC meet and recorded a mark of 3.85 meters at the BIG EAST meet ... Tied for sixth place in the championship section at the Penn Relays (3.90m) ... Came in third at the Colonial Relays (3.84m) and was second at the Larry Ellis Invitational (3.88m).

2012-13 Indoor: Competed in the pole vault at five meets during the season and came away with three first-place finishes ... Earned All-BIG EAST honors for the second straight year with a runner-up finish at the conference championships, where she cleared a height of 3.95 meters ... Cleared 4.00 meters for the first time at the Armory Collegiate Invitational, setting a new personal best and finishing 11th in the Championship section of the meet ... Opened the season with three straight wins at the Jack Pyrah Invitational (3.90m), the New York City Gotham Cup (3.80m) and the Great Dane Classic (3.95m).

2012 Outdoor: Scored team points at the BIG EAST Championships by tying for seventh place at the conference meet (3.75 meters) ... Cleared 3.75 meters or higher in each of her first four meets of the outdoor season ... Earned a spot in the Championship section at the Penn Relays and tied for sixth place (3.90m) ... Individual winner at the Widener Invitational (3.87m) ... Came in third at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational (3.80m) ... Qualified for the NCAA East Regional and tied for 35th place at the regional meet (3.65m).

2011-12 Indoor: All-BIG EAST in the pole vault ... Runner-up at the BIG EAST Championships with a personal best height of 3.95 meters at the conference meet ... Competed at five meets during the indoor season and cleared 3.75 meters or higher in each outing ... Individual winner in her collegiate debut at the NYC Gotham Cup (3.75m) ... Came in second at the Great Dane Classic (3.75m) and tied for third at the Penn State National (3.77m) ... Finished in fourth place of the College section at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational (3.90m).

Medina High School: Earned four varsity letters in both track and gymnastics ... State champion in the pole vault as a senior after being the runner up as a junior ... Received all-district and all-state honors as both a junior and a senior ... Four-time all-conference and all-region performer ... Academically was named All-Ohio all four years of high school.
