Entering his third season as an assistant coach for cross country and the distance events for track & field in 2003-2004 is Scott Tantino. Tantino graduated from Villanova University Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a minor in business. He is currently working on his Master’s degree in counseling. While at Villanova, Tantino was a standout for the track & field and cross country teams. In 1996, he was a member of the IC4A/NCAA District 2 Championship Team. Three years later, he was the NCAA Cross Country Regional Runner-up. In 2001, Tantino earned All-America accolades in the outdoor 5000m. His personal best times include a 1:51.91 in the 800m, 13:51 in the 5000m, 4:01.4 in the mile, 24:05.2 in the 8000m. Tantino currently competes for Bryn Mawr Running Co./Nike.
