Villanova opened up competition at the Penn Relays with a busy schedule of events on April 26, 2018.
Villanova competed on the first day of the BIG EAST Championships on February 24, 2017.
2017-18 Indoor: Competed in the pole vault five times during the season ... Achieved her top mark of 3.55 meters in a seventh place finish at the Villanova Invitational ... Cleared the bar at 3.50 meters in each of her first three outings ... Came in third with that mark at both the Jack Pyrah Invitational and the Penn 8-Team Select meet, and was 11th in the college section at the Columbia Challenge ... Tallied a mark of 3.35 meters and tied for seventh in the college section at the FastTrack National Invite.
2017 Outdoor: Tallied a fifth place finish in the pole vault with a height of 3.56 meters at the BIG EAST Championships ... Recorded a new personal best mark earlier in the season when she cleared the bar at 3.65 meters and tied for third place in the championship section at the Colonial Relays ... Recorded a successful attempt at 3.50 meters to tie for seventh place in the college section at the Penn Relays ... Began the season by tying for 10th place with a height of 3.30 meters at the Penn Challenge.
2016-17 Indoor: Garnered All-BIG EAST honors in the pole vault ... Finished in third place at the BIG EAST Championships, tying her then-personal best with a height of 3.50 meters ... Originally cleared the bar at 3.50 meters in a third place finish at the Villanova Open ... Made her collegaite debut at the Fast Times Before Finals Meet in December, tying for fourth place with a mark of 3.35 meters ... Tied for third place at the Gotham Cup (3.45m) and finished sixth in the college section at the FastTrack National Invitational (3.45m).
Iolani High School: Earned three varsity letters in track & field while competing in the pole vault … Also earned two varsity letters in paddling, and one each in cross country and cheerleading … Was the state champion in the pole vault as a senior after finishing fourth at the state meet during her sophomore and junior seasons … Set a meet record at the Interscholastic League of Hawaii junior varsity championships as a sophomore … Captured back-to-back varsity championships as a junior and a senior … Earned Hawaii first team track & field honors after her junior and senior seasons … Owns a personal best height of 3.35 meters in the pole vault.
Personal: Born 2/6/98 in Honolulu, Hawaii … Younger of two children of Samuel and Karen Lee … Has an older brother, Nathan (21) … Hobbies include hiking, going to the beach and doing community service … Participated in competitive gymnastics for 10 years prior to high school … Was presented with the 100th Infantry Battalion community service award for her work volunteering at a hospice … Served as the historian of the key club for two years … Chose to attend Villanova for its emphasis on community service and in particular the school’s involvement with the Special Olympics … Also noted Villanova’s beautiful campus and the school’s reputation for excellence in both academics and athletics … Enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
