VILLANOVA, Pa. - After a snow storm cancelled its trip to Delaware, the Villanova women's tennis team (0-2) returns to the courts Friday at 8 p.m. when the Wildcats travel to Stamford, Conn. to dual against Fairfield (2-2).

In their opening weekend, the Wildcats dropped back-to-back matches on the road to a solid Richmond squad and a superb Navy team that has opened the season with a 10-2 record.

The Stags have split their two matches against BIG EAST opponents. After a 7-0 shutout over Rider in the season opener, St. John's handed Fairfield its first loss of the season by a 5-2 decision in Queens, N.Y.

Fairfield would fall to Fordham in its next contest, before the Stags traveled to Rhode Island to edge Providence, 5-2, to move back to .500. The last time these two met, the Wildcats defeated Fairfield, 4-2, at the Villanova Tennis Complex.
