The Villanova women's tennis won their fifth consecutive match Saturday, as they defeated the visiting Fordham University Rams 7-2. The Wildcats were victorious in all but one match of each the singles and doubles competitions.

Junior Ashley Young recorded her fifth win, as well, and continues to be unbeaten in the fall 2000 season. Young overcame Morgan Brinley of Fordham at third singles to walk away with a two-set win, 6-2 and 6-1. Freshmen standouts Jessie Rybacki and Kelly McAndrew won their singles matches on the afternoon. Rybacki defeated Bree Himmelstein at the number four spot in straight sets, 6-1 and 6-3, McAndrew dropped the first set of her fifth singles match versus the Rams' Emily Najour, but came back in the next two sets to come away with the 4-6, 6-4, 6-0 win.

The 'Cats second doubles team of Stephane Ariot and Jessie Rybacki and third doubles pairing of Jennifer Zick and Anne Morgan defeated their respective opponents by a score of 8-5.

The team gets back into action on Tuesday, October 3rd when take on the Millersville Marauders at 3:00 p.m. at the Villanova Tennis Complex on West Campus.
