VILLANOVA, Pa.--The Villanova women's tennis team swept the Millersville Marauders (1-1) yesterday afternoon at the Villanova Tennis Complex, 7-0. It gave the Wildcats their second straight victory as they improve to 2-0 on the season.

`Nova breezed to straight set victories in both singles and doubles action. Sophomore Candice Carlin led the way, posting victories at No.1 singles and No. 2 doubles. She paired up with fellow sophomore Leighann Reilly for the doubles win, while Reilly found straight-set success in her No. 4 singles match. Freshman Colleen Speaker, senior Courtney Flezzani, junior Lindsey Puchyr and sophomore Taryn Cappellini all won their singles matches as well.

In doubles action, Courtney Flezzani paired up with Colleen Speaker to win at No. 1 doubles, while the duo of Carlin and Reilly won at No. 2 and Morgan Flezzani teamed up with Zoe Murray to find success at No. 3 singles. Villanova returns to action when they travel to Fordham to compete on Sept. 28. Match time is 3:00 PM.
