Villanova, Pa. - Junior Candice Carlin (Moorestown, N.J.) won her no. 1 singles match, but Seton Hall topped Villanova 6-1 yesterday afternoon in the Wildcats' final home match of the season.

Carlin defeated Viviana Figueroa 6-2, 6-1. Freshman Jaclyn Williamson (Unionville, Pa.) put up a fight against the Pirates' Nadja Sein. Williamson pushed the first set to a tie-breaker, but Sein won the tie-break 7-4 and the second set 6-3.

Carlin and Ashley Reed (Wyomissing, Pa.) nearly pulled off a doubles win against Figueroa and Sein, but ultimately fell 9-7.
