VILLANOVA, Pa. - Sophomore Leighann Reilly (Voorhees, N.J.) won her No. 3 singles match in three sets but it proved to be Villanova's only point as the Wildcats (6-11, 1-4) fell to Rutgers (9-9, 4-2) by a score of 6-1 on Saturday afternoon at the Villanova Tennis Complex.
Reilly came back from a set down to defeat Alina Balasa, 5-7, 6-3, 10-2 for the lone Wildcat point. Sophomore Candice Carlin (Moorestown, N.J.) also took her match to three sets, but came just three points shy of a win, falling to Katrina Elder Bus, 4-6, 6-4, 10-8.
