LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Villanova women's tennis team won three of six singles matches but dropped two of three doubles matches as they fell 4-3 at Bucknell on Saturday, April 6. The loss drops the 'Cats to an overall 7-7 on the season while Bucknell improves to 9-6 overall.

In singles action, Villanova was led by senior Julie Darne who was victorious at the No. 1 spot defeating Jill Wurzburgh 6-3, 7-5. Sophomore Jessie Rybacki came through for the Wildcats at No. 3, picking up a 6-4, 6-3, win over Kristin Inglis, before fellow classmate Kelly McAndrew clinched a victory at fourth singles with a 6-4, 6-4 win.

In doubles play, the 'Cats were led Darne and Ashley Young who posted an 8-6 victory over Bucknell's Wurzburg and Maisel.

Villanova will resume play on Tuesday, April 9 when they host non-conference foe Drexel at 3:00 p.m.
