RADNOR, PA. - Villanova won four singles matches en route to its 4-2 win over Pittsburgh in BIG EAST tennis action on Friday afternoon. The Wildcats improved to 11-7 and 2-3 in the conference.

Candice Carlin started the Wildcats with a 7-6, 6-1 showing at No. 1 singles, while Leighann Reilly won No. 6 singles in straight sets. Carlin and Reilly bettered their records to 17-8 and 15-7 overall.

Kelly McAndrew and Jessie Rybacki battled for three-set victories at fourth and fifth singles, respectively. For McAndrew, the decision was her team-leading 19th.

The two teams did not play any doubles matches.

Villanova returns to the courts on Sunday at 11 a.m. when West Virginia visits the Villanova Tennis Complex.
