On Friday, March 8, the Villanova women's tennis team continued their Spring Break trip traveling to San Diego, Calif. to take on Point Loma Nazarene College. Wildcat victories by freshman Courtney Flezzani and sophomore Kelly McAndrew were not enough as Villanova fell to Point Loma, 7-2. The 'Cats drop to 6-2 on the year with the loss while the Crusanders improve to 9-2 overall.

Flezzani continued her torrid pace at the No. 4 spot, defeating Point's Tanya Leantieff, 6-3, 6-3, in straight sets. With the win, Flezzani improves to 13-1 at No. 4 singles, 13-2 overall. McAndrew was also a straight set winner with a 7-6, 6-4 victory at No. 5 singles.

The Wildcats will return home when they host Seton Hall University on Sunday, March 17 in a Big East contest. Matches are set to begin at 12:00 p.m.
