Hey Nova Nation! My name is Nicole Alden and I am a senior captain on the Villanova Softball Team! My senior year is definitely off to a strong start! In the classroom I am taking Histology, Anatomy and Physiology, Psychology of Emotion, Psychology of Personality, and Biochemistry classes. These particular classes entail a lot of work on my end, but I am up for the challenge! I personally enjoy the upper level science courses because they concentrate on topics that interest me! My professors and classmates have been so welcoming and friendly during the first few weeks of school, too!
After not seeing each other for almost three months, I'm around my teammates 24/7 again! If you can't find us at Starbucks, be sure to check the Qdoba on Lancaster Avenue! It is great getting back together with the girls who returned this year, and the freshmen bonded with us right away! We are so lucky! The freshmen this year are some of the most personable and talented players-so make sure to welcome them and show them your support at our Fall Ball games!
It's time to start another year of Villanova Softball, and I could not be more excited! After three years of playing collegiate softball, I think I finally have the whole student-athlete thing down! The team has been working hard in the weight room, on the track during conditioning, and at the softball field preparing for our Fall Season! Not only have we been getting stronger physically, but also our mental game is improving more and more everyday! We have been emphasizing focus and discipline!
The team hopes to see some new and familiar faces at our Fall games during the next few weeks! The home game dates are 9/17 (East Stroudsburg @ 11:00AM & Fordham @ 3:00PM), 9/24 (Kutztown @ 11:00AM & Lafayette @ 3:00PM), and 10/1 (West Chester @ 11:00AM & Bloomsburg @ 3:00 PM)! We also play on 9/30 hosted by Saint Joseph's University (UPENN @ 1:00PM & SJU @ 3:00PM)! Thank you for your support!
