Braga and Delahaba Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

VILLANOVA, Pa. - Sophomores Tessa Braga and Caitlyn Delahaba were named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll the conference office announced on Monday afternoon. Both played key roles in Villanova clinching a No. 4 seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Tournament with a three-game series sweep at Providence over the weekend.
Braga batted .600 at Providence connecting for six hits. She scored two runs and posted a slugging percentage and on-base mark of .600.
Delahaba made three appearances earning two wins and one save. She allowed just one earned run and one walk while striking out 10 batters in 15.2 innings pitched.
This is the first conference honor of the season for Braga and the third for Delahaba, who also earned a spot on the honor roll Feb. 22 and March 29.
As the No. 4 seed, the Wildcats will face No. 5 Syracuse in Louisville, Ky. on Thursday, May 13 at 10:00 a.m. in the opening game of the BIG EAST Tournament.
