O'Hara Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll
Jamie O'Hara had a good final weekend to be named to the conference honor roll

May 8, 2012

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Villanova senior center fielder Jamie O'Hara was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

She had four hits, three RBIs and two runs scored in the three game series against Seton Hall where the Wildcats went 2-1. It's the first time in her career that O'Hara has been named to the Weekly Honor Roll.

O'Hara hit her first career home run in the 4-3 loss on Saturday with an inside the park home run down the left field line.

She was then right in the middle of a three-run game-winning seventh inning rally in the final game of the series. She singled home the first run of the inning then made a great slide to avoid the catcher's tag for the game winning run.

It was the third time a Wildcat was named to the Honor Roll this season as Valerie Ortega and Kristi Burlin had each been named once before.

O'Hara finished the season as the team's leading hitter at .353.
