Player Focus Article - Jackie Pasquerella
April 29, 2000
Jackie Pasquerella has been a key asset to the Wildcats for 2 years now. She will continue to dominate offensively and defensively in the upcoming 2000 season. Jackie is a junior infielder/outfielder from Bayshore, NY. According to coaches Maria DiBernardi and Linda Goss, "Jackie is the best 3B that we have ever had at Villanova. She has great game sense and is always thinking ahead. We respect her aggressive baserunning as well as her ability to come through in clutch situations. She is determined every day to make herself better." Fellow teammate and roommate Gina Defrancesco comments that Jackie has "a strong yet caring" personality. She continues to say that "Jackie works hard all the time and pushes herself and her teammates. She is a great team leader." Jackie is like a mini nuclear explosion on the basepaths or up to bat. Not only is she a great friend but she is an amazing softball player with a big heart. I know that Jackie will continue to break records and have great success as a Villanova Wildcat.
