All the way from Langley, British Columbia, Sara Carlson will be joining the Villanova Softball squad this season. Spending most of her time behind the plate, Carlson will also see some action at first base and in the outfield. Carlson is certain to bring a powerful bat to the Wildcats' lineup this season. "[Sara] has great control at the plate and is very determined to get the job done," stated coaches DiBernardi and Goss.

In addition to her impressive athletic abilities, Carlson is recognized by teammates as being friendly, focused, and ambitious. In spite of being incessantly teased about her Canadian origins, Carlson maintains a great sense of humor and often surprises the team with her witty remarks. Stated one teammate, "Sara is very sarcastic-the good kind." Villanova Softball is looking forward to a great first season from Sara Carlson!
