The Wildcats suffered a heart-breaking loss of 3-2 against the Terrapins in the bottom of the seventh after a spectacular performance from Senior pitcher Brenda Roach.
The Wildcats got on the board in fifth inning when Tiffany Bachman led off with a single. After beating out a bunt, Janna Bullock reached to put runners on first and second. Jess DeLuca added a sacrifice bunt to move Bachman to third. Pinch hitting, Regina Speicher launched a triple to put the Wildcats ahead 2-0.
In the bottom of the seventh, Maryland led off the inning with a base hit off reliever Carrie Walpole. After two walks and another single, one run scored. With bases loaded, Freshman Keri Stoller entered the game and gave up a two-run single to end the game.
