Villanova Falls 4-0 to Maine at UCF

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Villanova softball team (2-4) opened the UCF/Courtyard by Marriott II Invitational on Friday morning falling to Maine in a 4-0 contest.
Junior Molly Manning threw a complete game and gave up five hits, three earned runs and struck out four batters.
Maine got on the board first in the top of the third inning with an RBI single and added to its lead with one run in the fifth inning and two in the seventh.
Marquez led off Villanova's fourth inning with a double to right center and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt from Manning, but was caught out and could not score.
Ortega singled in the bottom of the sixth, but was also left stranded on base.
