Stephanie Sanders enters her first year as an assistant coach on the Villanova softball staff for the 2016-17 season. Sanders will coach the outfielders, while also assisting with hitting.

Prior to this year, Sanders was an assistant coach at Saginaw Valley State, where she coached the outfielders and hitting. She also helped with camps, clinics, strength and conditioning, and recruiting.
Sanders played collegiately at Michigan State, where she was a utility player, primarily playing in the outfield. During her senior season, she batted .288 with 44 hits, 32 RBI, 25 runs, nine home runs and seven doubles.
The Lima, Ohio, native graduated from Michigan State in 2015 with an Interdisciplinary Studies degree.
