Villanova Has Sights on Conference Rival Seton Hall
The Wildcats are gearing up for their second consecutive road three-game weekend series. This time Villanova (9-14, 1-2 BIG EAST) will be against conference rival Seton Hall (11-18, 0-3 BIG EAST) in South Orange, N.J. The first game on Saturday will begin at 12 p.m. followed by the second around 20 minutes after. The game on Sunday will also start at 12 p.m.
Villanova Takes Down Towson in Rain-Shortened Victory
After losing to Towson in the opening game of the first doubleheader of the Villanova home schedule, the Wildcats were able to take the second game and split the doubleheader. Nova won 1-0 in five innings due to the game being cut short due to heavy rain.
Villanova Plays Towson In Home Opener
The Villanova Wildcats played in their first home game of 2015 today at the Villanova Softball Complex against the Towson Tigers in a doubleheader. The first game of the double header went the Tigers way as they beat the Wildcats by a score of 4-2. The Wildcats led for most of the game but a three-run top of the sixth inning proved to seal the deal for the Tigers.
Villanova Set For Home Opener vs. Towson
After opening their BIG EAST conference schedule last weekend vs. Georgetown, the Wildcats (8-13, 1-2 BIG EAST) will play in their home opener this Wednesday against the Towson Tigers (9-10, 0-3 CAA) in a doubleheader. The first game will start at 3 p.m. and the next will follow around 20 minutes after the first game ends.

Villanova junior outfielder Sierra McConnell been honored by the BIG EAST for her performance this past weekend in the Wildcats' series against Georgetown, the conference office announced Monday.
Villanova and Georgetown Play Rubber Match of Three-game Series
In the third game of the first conference weekend series against Georgetown (12-15) the Wildcats (8-13) fell by a score of 5-4. It was a hard fought game as the Wildcats scored runs in both the sixth and seventh inning to try to put a rally together but in the end, the team came up one run short. Overall in the series the Hoyas have taken two of the games and the Wildcats have won one.

Wildcats Pile On Runs in Second Game of Doubleheader
The Wildcats needed only the first six innings to secure a victory against the Georgetown Hoyas in their second matchup of the day. After losing the first game in the seventh inning, the Wildcats 8-0 victory was called after six innings because of the run rule. All runs for the Wildcats game late in the game with the `Cats scoring two in the fourth and fifth innings and they put up a four spot in the sixth.
