The Villanova women's soccer team (13-5-2) will kick off play in the 2004 NCAA Championship on Friday evening with a 5 p.m. first-round game against Yale University (13-4-0). The game will be played at Lourie-Love Field on the campus of Princeton University, and will be followed by a game between seventh-seeded Princeton (15-2-0) and Central Connecticut State (11-9-1) at 7:30 p.m. The winners of each game will play in the second round on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Live play-by-play action of tonight's game can be heard via streaming audio on the internet by accessing the Audio/Video link at the top right of the official Villanova athletics page at www.villanova.com. Wildcat radio broadcaster Nick Mantegna will carry all of the action beginning at game time. The broadcast is available through Yahoo audiocast and is a subscription-based service.

Villanova is competing in the NCAA tournament for the fourth consecutive year, and will look to pay back a Yale team that eliminated the Wildcats in penalty kicks in the first round of the 2002 tournament. Villanova enters the game undefeated in its last four games (3-0-1), while Yale comes into the postseason on an eight-game winning streak.
